What the evidence preview establishes
The visible residues were not liquid battery electrolyte. Reference electrolyte had a strong sodium signature, while residues on the lamination stack, battery contact, shaft, and circuit assembly lacked that signature and were consistent with soldering-flux spatter.
Why this case matters
Location and color are insufficient for residue identification. Analyze a known reference material, define a diagnostic chemical marker, and use its presence or absence to separate a suspected leak from unrelated process residue.
